The shattered order may be the only chance the rebels have of defeating the vile Emperor, as the former shogun is a twisted warlock of the dark energies. Now only a rebellious alliance of righteous daimyos struggles to restore the ancient and just imperial rule, while frantically searching for the shattered remains of the Order of the Jidai, masters of Ki capable of restoring order to the nation. The moment you hit a critical mass, you cannot stop because a coalition will spawn and the shogun will declare. The cruel shogun, Shiefu Parupachin has seized power in Nih-Pun, overthrowing the diamyos and declaring himself Emperor. Money shouldn't be a problem since you don't need a massive army to handle your wars this way. You can sit on the daimyos while waiting for OE and just rotate your annexations.

This let's you full annex most of Japan before the Shogun even realises that you're a problem. They can't coalition you if they're at war with you. You can be at war with the other half of Japan and be in five separate wars, just make sure three or four of them can't recruit units. Just put one dude on their capital to stop them recruiting troops and move on to the next guy. If a coalition forms, you aren't chain warring fast enough. Mercs are a must but don't make your entire army mercs, that's just bankruptcy inducing.

They also won't necessarily declare unless you appear too threatening. Shogun won't get a -5 stab hit from declaring on a daimyo with more than 10 provinces since they get a CB. Then, with +4 daimyos left, they DOW me despite like -5 stability hit (does AI even get that?) and destroy me. For some reason they integrate others insanely fast, even with my war chaining they manage to get to my size. I tried mercs too, but even with asking for money in peace deal, I was drowning in massive debt and close to bankruptcy. Its hopeless with regular troops, manpower is always depleted. Once, chaining wars as Hosokawa kinda worked, because high AE countries declared on me not at the same time, but the main problem was 1) Manpower. Im sorry but I can't win against like 10 daimyos at the same time. One of them declares, then another one, then another one until I have 5 seperate wars. The only problem is that as soon as you annex like 5 OPM's, AE is big enough for like 7 daimyos to make a coalition against me. What the hell I am doing wrong? So the basic Idea I heard is to chain wars and gobble up other daimyos ASAP, leave Shogun for last once you are big enough and not have many allies because you will have to conquer them too. Coalitions and/or Shogun demolish me all the time. I have 800 hours in the game and I tried 5 times with biggest of daimyos - Uesugi and Hosokawa. Everyone on the internet says its fairly easy to unify Japan.
